Health is the foundation of our life. When the foundation weakens or even collapses, it has a tremendous impact on our quality of life.

​

We are indeed designed to thrive; our body possesses an innate intelligence that constantly creates balance. When we're hot, our body starts to sweat in order to decrease our temperature; when our body needs fuel, our digestive systems starts preparing for food and we feel hungry;

if we unexpectedly see a threat in front of us, our heart starts to race to increase blood flow to our muscles so we can run and save ourselves...

These are obvious examples that we can easily be aware of. Similar processes happen at many other levels that we don't have any awareness of, until some symptoms start knocking at our door to let us know that what we're doing or experiencing is requiring more attention. 

The environment most of us live in nowadays, especially those living in a city, is far from being our theoretical natural habitat. Therefore, it is our responsibility to bring awareness to our essential needs to thrive, and to cultivate habits that support our body to regulate and heal itself.

Our lifestyle and daily rhythms ​also play a major role in how we feel, both physically and emotionally. Long-term stress has become one of the biggest sources of dis-ease. Fortunately, there are so many ways to bring more ease into our day-to-day! Progressively implementing small and/or big changes can greatly improve our quality of life, as long as these changes feel good and are sustainable in the long-term.

​Our inquiry in this space is to help identify and implement those kind of changes.

Everything we experience, from mundane interactions to the most impactful events, consciously and subconsciously impacts us, the way an added layer of paint would slightly or drastically alter a painting depending on the color and how it is applied.

How we respond and react to situations depends on our past experiences, our beliefs and our fears, but also on what we intentionally focus on, our willpower, our intuitive knowing, our flexibility, and so on. We are shaped by our life experiences, but we also can shape our life with our own commitment to our vision.

Health is about freedom. We are free to feel good, energized, strong, happy, creative, resilient... whatever you choose, it is available to you.

Health journey

  In the last 15 years I've experimented with many different diets and lifestyles; I ate paleo for 5 years, tried keto, then went plant-based, ate 100% raw living foods for 3 years, including months of eating exclusively fruits, I've done some short and moderately long fasts, trained as a trail runner for a while, practiced only yoga for another while, added high intensity trainings, then weight trainings to build more strength, was living in the city, moved to the jungle, traveled the world without a home-base, etc etc... many different experiences and each one taught me a lot!

I've seen my body gain and lose weight, my digestion undergo many painful challenges, my skin go through acne and eczema, my menstrual cycle be dysregulated and my sleep disrupted by stress. But today, I can honestly say I feel good and I feel healthy, even in the low days.

​

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that the body knows and the mind thinks it knows but it doesn't. I've noticed how easy it was for me to get trapped in another program or dogma when I thought I was aligning with my body's needs. The mind is powerful and can talk us in or out of anything if we let it.

​

Learning to really listen to my body and humbly letting go of any belief or expectation I had around what I should or shouldn't eat or do, was what opened me up to freedom and true health.

I've learned that there is not only one way that works for me. Instead, I find balance in being open to what feels right in each moment and what I need today. Essentially, staying true to my values while being flexible and remaining open to my own constant evolution.
